Out of all the different genres of games, fighting games are the most skill intensive out of them. You truly get to see who has more skill you or your opponent. You must rely on your ability to adapt to any situation and quick reflexes if you want to come out on top.

PC fighting games, however, are few and far in between. I mean truly good PC fighting games not simple broken flash games that will never maintain your interest for more than 10 minutes.

First of all what exactly classifies a fighting game? I would have to go with any game that lets you take direct control of your character form the punches to the kicks and usually as a bonus allow you to play multi player against other people, although it is not necessary.

A lot of people ask me why there aren’t that many great PC fighting games anymore? Well I think the answer lies in how we control the computer, with a keyboard. Its not a precise controller quite like the PS3/Xbox 360 has so you will not always be able to achieve desirable results. This is probably the biggest reason that most big publishers started to shy away from PC fighting games when there are consoles to publish their games to.

Why would anyone even consider playing a PC fighting game then? They are great fun to play and they aren’t degraded by the keyboard at all if you get yourself a nice controller for it. Or you can always hook up your PS3/Xbox 360 controller to your computer and play with that, it makes the game a lot more fun and gives you more control over your character.

Everybody is probably asking themselves the same thing, How do I hook up my controller to my PC? It’s really simple in all reality, plug it in with the USB cord and download an emulation software that will simulate simple keystrokes instead of the default button and set them to the buttons you want them to be in your game and you are ready to go.

Online PC fighting games are one of the best tournament style games as they usually involve little to no luck. This coupled with the fact that you can lay the smack down on all your friends that think they are better than you makes for great fun playing them!
