When thinking of romantic dinners at home, the first thing that comes into mind is- a candle lit dinner. To spice it up, you can always add something special or something memorable. Do you remember the day you two first met? Wasnt it just the perfect day? You may do something to remind him of that day and you can revitalize your relationship. Just gather the important things you two did that day and of course, prepare something delicious to eat.

It should be a surprise candle lit dinner. If you have time, write down little notes about how the entire day should go. This will help you plan things through up till dinnertime. Plan for an evening when your spouse would not have to be elsewhere. You may get this information or his schedule-secretly- so you can surprise him or her. If you have kids, then you can send them for the night at your neighbors or your relatives place that lives nearby. Be sure this part is thoroughly planned with the kids safety as the priority.

Prepare your spouses’ favorite dinner. It would be interesting if you can order the same exact food you had that day, when you first went out together. Have it in a small amount, so you can enjoy dessert a little later. Decorate the table with sets of candles and make sure the surrounding is clutter-free. Dress up like the way you did-on the first day. It will often be impossible to find the exact dress, but try to assemble or find something that will make your spouse remember your beginnings; full of great memories.

Serve the meal on the table, decorated with lit candles. To remind him further of the day you two first met, you can place a card on table which would say, “Later events” and list the things you two did during that day. Make sure you have everything ready and planned, especially your cooking materials prior to the event. Music is always important to have a romantic effect.

What is the song that both of you like? It is good to play something that has not been played for a long time. It will bring a nostalgic feeling to the event; but be sure to turn off all the other distractions like your PC, TV, radio etc. Now all you have to do is to wait for him to walk through the door and enjoy the delicious food and romance in the air. While you are doing all of this, keep in mind that your partner in life will truly appreciate all your efforts. There may be some things that wont run smoothly during the planned date, but do not worry so much. Your good intentions of creating a romantic atmosphere will not go to waste

This way, you are able to create any type of food that you know will delight your spouse and have him asking you- how you managed to cook like a chef.
